Zoo-Mimic is a side-arm of The Marvels Lab, a blue-skies biodiscovery biotech. We specialize in biomimimetics or bioevolved innovated solutions for, e.g., medical, outer-space, defense & transport applications. Our expertise is in biology, technology, design, entrepreneurship.

Foremostly, however, we're blue-skies & star-gazing wonder-junkies, biohackers, explorers & adventurers at heart, with a high degree of bioethical values.

Fundamentally, essentially, we bio-prospect & bio-mine, nature's zoopedia for its best & brightest biotechnologies (3Bs). We then enable or reverse-engineer & replicate, & even seeking to do one better by souping it up. 

We exclusively target quintessentially-sophisticated & millions-of-years-enduring, say, anti-fragile, & ubiquitous platform biotechnologies, ideally, end-game. Critically, we focus on entirely untapped commercial opportunities.

Biology can be downright difficult to hack - it's complex, messy, fickle, & real-world demands can be extremely trying. Often, a Lego-like reductionist approach fails.

We use a smarter, more fruitful, more expedient & cheaper (systems) approach, one that strikes gold by simply connecting-the-dots by turning over some stones. This everything under the sun & cut-the-chase approach, effectively spares us from reinventing the wheel.

  • Torpor Neuroprotective Trigger (TNT): Pre-clinical studies in an array of hibernating animals have confirmed the existence of an enigmatic cocktail of blood-borne substances that confer prompt & broad-spectrum hibernation-like neuroprotection to both hibernating but out of hibernation & non-hibernating species alike. This R&D project seeks to extract any potential such substances but from a human outlier capable of hibernation, thereby potentially facilitating & much fast-tracking clinical translation to a broad-spectrum of therapies & prophylactics (e.g., surgery), & to potentially greater protective effect & reduced untoward health risk; it would also reduced R&D costs & regulatory hurdles & delays by several order-of-magnitude. One imagines several grades of TNT, depending on duration of hibernation. The human-harvested TNT cocktail would be initially tested, ideally, re-infused into the test-subject following a deep & prolonged torpid bout (i.e., an autologous transfusion), to assess its detailed potential beneficial protective effects, i.e., before testing on other subjects, so-called, allogenic transfusion, & mass-synthesis.


  • HiberNaut: A forward-looking, potentially completely game-changing & profoundly human-enabling deep-space & unmatched cross-cutting biotech capability. Advantages may include: human-related, mass penalty cost-reductions; enhanced health, safety & performance; reduced health & performance risks; expanded biomedical support scope; more relaxed launch windows constraints; more fuel-efficient trajectories; faster-tracked, longer range & duration, & more affordable missions; etc.
